Sarcophagi ensembles in the Egyptian Museum Berlin

With the Egyptian Museum Berlin and Burkhard Backes from the University of Tübingen, two complete wooden sarcophagus ensembles consisting of the mummies, the inner and outer sarcophagi, and the canopic boxes were captured using image-based 3D methods. The primary goal of the project is to generate models that can be viewed from all sides in different web environments. For the researcher, the model combines a multitude of photo panels in a single, freely rotatable and scalable new medium. All information is thus contained in a single instance and can be visualized and analyzed together in this way.
